At Ison Springs Elementary’s Career Day, MyBessProjects celebrated its youngest author, inspiring students to explore writing. Many showed interest in becoming children's book authors, proving that creativity knows no age!

MyBessProjects is a multigenerational literary collaboration, driven by a young author, whose engaging stories are crafted to stimulate meaningful dialogue and comprehension in early readers.

Inspired by the author's real-life experience at age four, My Protest presents a child's perspective of a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest during the 2020 pandemic, igniting discussions about justice, family, and community.

Jaliyah deeply values Black History and feels disheartened knowing that many of its truths are often changed or omitted in schools and literature.

A heartfelt children's book and grief journal that gives voice to a child coping with loss. Through tender storytelling and expressive journaling prompts, it guides young readers in honoring their emotions, cherishing memories, and imagining comforting connections with a loved one in heaven.
MyBessProjects offers a unique collection of children’s fiction and nonfiction books written by three generations of authors. Told from a child’s perspective, our stories explore personal and social justice issues through engaging, relatable narratives that foster empathy, inclusion, and social awareness. We have also added new books for children ages 4–11 designed to help young readers understand who God is in meaningful, age-appropriate ways.
